• It’s a no-fault right. That means that even if your property is being managed wonderfully by the landlord’s agent, you can still claim your Right to Manage if you and the building both qualify under the simple rules.
• These rules provide that the building must qualify and you must qualify. In practice most free-standing blocks of flats with little or no commercial content (such as shops and offices) will qualify. Similarly most owners of a long lease will qualify under the rules of the RTM process.
